Philosophy

It is realized that many factors shape our bodies. Our histories, traumas, relationships, life events, work and life style may influence our movement and thus the body. The body is a fluid, dynamic creation.

This is the perspective from which Matt approaches bodywork and therapeutic touch.

 

Experience

Matt is a licensed and insured Massage Therapist in Tucson, Arizona with nearly 1000 hours of training in Massage Therapy. He received his massage education at The Providence Institute and his nutrition education at The University of Arizona. He is also nationally certified through NCBTMB.

He has completed 80+ hours of continuing education in Thai Massage here in Arizona and is planning on visiting Thailand to expand his skill set.

Matt has extensive training in Thai Massage and incorporates other modalities into the session to best meet your needs. His work is often described as nurturing yet challenging. While Thai massage is learned by memorizing routines, Matt breaks the mold and mindfully tailors each session to your needs in that day, that moment. Flexibilty is always encouraged, in body and mind.

He has experience working at one of the most reknowned destination spas in the country.

Matt has worked with athletes of all ages, road cyclists and triathletes, bodybuilders and martial artists. He specializes in relief from whiplash, thoracic outlet syndrome, and low back pain.

Matt is trained in Thai Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Sports Massage, and Trigger Point Release.

He also offers nutritional counseling services to encourage weight loss and management, special diet needs, and therapeutic diets.
